Alan Lee Selected as Super Lawyer in New York Metro Area for 2014

The annual list for the top attorneys in the New York Metro area was announced on September 26, 2014, and Alan Lee, Esq., was selected as a Super Lawyer in the field of immigration. This was the third selection for Mr. Lee, who was also accorded the Super Lawyer title in 2011 and 2013. He is the only attorney of Chinese descent in the New York Metro area Super Lawyers’ list for immigration.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multiphase and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Lawyers enter the candidate pool by being formally nominated by a peer or being identified by the research department during the research process. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The final published list represents no more than 5% of the lawyers in the state.

In the field of immigration, 70 lawyers received the Super Lawyer title in the New York area for 2014. There are currently approximately 1500 lawyers in the New York chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and countless others incorporating immigration work in their practices. Mr. Lee has been an Association member since 1981, is a member of the Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys, and has attained the highest rating, AV, in the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory for the past 20 years.
