Visa Numbers For Employment Based Immigration Exhausted For Remainder
Of FY 2007 – New Fees To Hit Many Applicants
In response to the USCIS’ rushing to adjudicate employment-based
adjustment cases, the Department of State has negated its Visa Bulletin
for July 2007 in an unprecedented action stating “Effective
Monday July 2, 2007 there will be no further authorizations in response
to requests for Employment-based preference cases.” Visa numbers
are expected to become available again only in October 1, 2007.
All adjustment applicants pending adjudication will have to wait
for visa availability and all new filings will of course be levied
the increased immigration fees.
